Modern Farmhouse

This lovely two-storey home is a fresh, modern interpretation of traditional farmhouse style.

The home features classic white timber weatherboards, generous verandahs, a beautiful barnstyle entrance door and solid timber awning windows.

There is a big focus on entertaining areas, with the home incorporating five alfresco zones. “The owners wanted to take advantage of the large block, with doors that could open up to the alfresco areas and make the living spaces feel more expansive,” says designer Emma Mackie. Cedar West supplied solid timber bifolds to seamlessly connect the dining and lounge areas with the adjacent undercover alfresco area. Large Doncaster doors in the living area also open up to the rear entertaining area.

The builder for this project was Distinctive Homes, with interiors by Emma Mackie of M Designs.
