Elegant Renovation

This lovely Mosman residence has been beautifully renovated and extended to create an elegant home that retains the character of the original residence, while adding functional living spaces that make the most of a narrow site.

The owners wanted to replace the entry door with a design that was more in keeping with the character and age of the home. Cedar West supplied a new classic Bond entrance door, together with timber sash windows to form a bay window that complements the style and era of the residence.

Cedar West also provided custom timber joinery for the new extension at the back of the home. Carmel doors with beautiful timber panels and custom glazing bars are used throughout the bright, open-plan living area.

The lounge features large timber bifold doors, which can be opened to integrate the area with the back garden, taking advantage of all of the available space.

In the dining area, the glazing bars on the double-hung windows have been aligned with the bars on the adjacent doors. Matching timber panels have also been added below the windows, which creates a sense of symmetry.

The extension and improvements for this home were designed by RFA Architects and constructed by PGC Projects Pty Ltd, with timber joinery supplied by Cedar West.
