Modern Linear Home

This contemporary home features a strong linear profile with a bold blend of materials. The design combines an imposing rammed earth building block with lovely light-filled pavillions that cantilever out from the building at right angles towards a streamlined swimming pool. 

Cedar West provided the custom-made timber joinery for this home, including sliding doors, Andover doors, as well as generous fixed and louvre windows that capture the breeze and direct it through the home. 

Initially, the architect considered using jarrah joinery for this project, however it was decided that Western Red Cedar with a dark finish would be more suitable as cedar remains dimensionally stable in most weather conditions and is not prone to shrinking or cracking.
