St George's College

St George's College

The Rodgers Wing project involved the design and construction of a new four-level student accommodation housing wing on the St George's College site at the University of Western Australia.

The new wing is located next to the original St George's College buildings and chapel, which were constructed in the Victorian Gothic Revival style in 1931. The Rodgers Wing provides an additional 45 student rooms, as well as office facilities and common rooms.

Cedar West provided 45 custom-made timber door and window entry sets for the student accommodation in the new building. The door design selected for this project was a Sutton door, with vertical tongue-and-groove timber boards. Each entry set included either an awning or double-hung window, with secret-nailed cedar boards below to match the entry door.

This project was designed by Christou Architects and built by Jaxon Construction, with timber joinery by Cedar West.
